Serving Los Angeles since 1877

Our History

Celebrating Life Since 1877

Evergreen Cemetery is the oldest standing cemetery in Los Angeles, CA. We opened to the public as the city’s first privately owned cemetery in 1877. Throughout the years, our grounds have served as the resting place for many notable people and a site for historical monuments. Evergreen Cemetery’s rich history and cultural significance make our grounds a treasure in the Los Angeles community. We continue to offer burial spaces after over 140 years
of service, and we welcome all to visit.
